Dr Julian Hong is a primary care physician in a leading medical group. He started his career in the local hospitals, gaining extensive experience across disciplines with a subsequent focus on the care of children and gaining procedural skills. He believes in keeping abreast of the latest medical advances and has contributed to medical research, winning research grants, prizes and awards along the way. He entered private practice in late 2017 and looks after the health needs of a wide spectrum of patients in the community.
Dr Julian Hong subscribes to the ethos of “healing” outside the walls of the hospital and has pursued this through actively serving in the community. Over the last decade, he has worked with stakeholders from the social and private sector, raising funds for local charities and putting together meaningful events
He volunteers with the charity Resilience Collective and believes that beyond the label, persons with mental health, especially those in recovery, should be supported in their journey back in society holistically.
Dr Julian serves as an advisor on the board of Architects of Life – a social enterprise that specialises in developing the human potential of youth at risks and ex-offenders through outreach, developmental and intervention programmes.
He also volunteers with BinjaiTree and participates regularly in humanitarian trips to neighbouring countries.
