Dr Chan received his undergraduate medical training and post-graduate training in Singapore. He was awarded the MBBS and MMed (Psychiatry) by the National University of Singapore. He is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Dr Chan has a keen interest in the treatment of mood disorders, including the use of neurostimulation techniques. He has completed a fellowship at the renowned mood disorders center, the Black Dog Institute, University of New South Wales, Australia. In addition to clinical sessions at the general psychiatry clinic, he also sees patients at the Pain Management Centre and the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Centre in SGH. Dr Chan participates in the training of medical undergraduates, junior doctors and psychiatry residents. He is also involved in psychiatric research projects conducted at SGH.
